Skills Interface - New Skill

Configure competition skills, categories, and technical requirements for the competition.

Creating Skills​

  • Click "+ New" to create a new skill
  • Use "Delete" to remove selected skills

Skill Selection​

Skills Dropdown

The dropdown shows existing skills and allows selection for editing. Multiple versions of the same skill are supported using decimal notation.

Basic Information​

  • Skill Number: Unique identifier for the skill (e.g., 17)
  • Name: Skill title (e.g., "Web Technologies")
  • Language: Interface language for the skill (default: English)
  • Type: Skill category (Official, Demo, etc.)
  • C1 Date: Competition start date for this skill

Skill Numbering System​

The system enforces one skill number per skill configuration. For multiple instances of the same skill:

  • Base skill: Use whole numbers (e.g., 17 for Web Technologies)
  • Additional instances: Use decimal notation (17.1, 17.2, 17.3)
Skill Number Uniqueness

Each skill must have a unique number. Use decimal notation (17.1, 17.2, 17.3) when you need multiple instances of the same skill for different purposes.

Competition Options​

Team Organization​

  • Competitors are organised in teams: Enable team-based competition format (e.g. for Skill 54 - Cyber Security). Select this option only if the skill requires team participation.

Marking Configuration​

  • Allow compatriot marking: Permit judges to mark competitors from their own country. This is NOT* permited into official WS competitions but can be used in nationals, friedly, training competitions etc.
  • Allow marking team supervisor to mark measurement aspects: Enable supervisor to do marking for measurement aspects, otherwise will only allow supervisor to mark judgements aspects for compatriot marking.
  • Hide the maximum mark for each aspect on marking forms: Hide maximum score for each marking aspect on forms
  • Allow to generate a landscape marking form: Enable horizontal marking form layout

Results and Awards​

  • Generate final results and medals: Include skill in official results
  • Exclude from member results comparison: Remove from country ranking comparisons
  • Exclude from Albert Vidal award: Exclude from special recognition awards

Saving Configuration​

Click "Save" to store skill settings and configuration options.
